If you haven’t already, head on over to my Instagram and give me a follow. I try to post a style tip or project almost every day. But today, I want to share some simple tips on how to style a coffee table.
I know styling can seem overwhelming, but it shouldn’t be. There are some simple tricks to get your space looking like a pro designed it.
How To Style A Coffee Table
- Use varying heights
I like to decorate with candlesticks and florals. This basket is stuffed full of faux roses and hydrangeas at different heights. I love buying faux florals as you can re-use them again and again.
2. Decorate with different shapes
Since I used a round basket as my vase I wanted to use rectangle books to give the coffee table varying shapes. This creates visual detail and is easier on the eyes.
3. Decorate in odd numbers
I also love decorating in odd numbers as it’s more pleasing to the eye.
4. Decorate with different textures
I love using different elements like wood, metal, ceramic, marble etc to create visual detail. I also think mixing textures and tones make a space look more high end.
On this rustic coffee table, I’ve used modern marble links to elevate the space.
